This hair looks real. It is extremely soft and has a very pretty shine. Definitely not the dry, coarse mohair seen on most dolls. Also, it is easy to root.

These needles did a great job but they all broke and I think that was on me. I haven't rooted in a while so I think I was being to aggressive with them. So I have to buy more and I will buy them from the same seller.
